There is magic to be found in a windswept day at the coast, a walk through the majestic Cascades or a journey deep into the canyons of Eastern Oregon. Kristin won’t be satisfied until she has explored and captured every square inch of it. Her first steps onto the sands of the Oregon coast sparked an avid love for the area’s unparalleled beauty. She left everything behind in the Midwest and now, camera in hand, she is systematically documenting the Pacific Northwest, one road trip at a time.

Inspired by John Muir’s memoirs and strong curiosity for the natural world, through photography, Kristin explores the relationship between man and nature. Her use of light, shadow and texture creates an immersive experience for the viewer, inspiring introspection and strong emotion. She uses landscapes large and small to explore the importance of human visual perspective of nature as it informs the meaning of everyday life.
